Classroom Practice for Our Teachers;

• Aligning to the phases from the NZ Refreshed Mathematics and Statistics Curriculum.
• Follow and teach using the Mathematics and Statistics Progressions Steps Phases 1-3.
• Use the Glenbervie Maths Long Term Plan to ensure strand coverage in planning.
• Are responsible for the storage of classroom equipment and resources.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
• Plan collaboratively during team meeting to share ideas, resources, activities and successes.
• Implementing The Learner First (TLF) and Rich Routines to reinforce explicit teaching of lessons.
• Using Maths No Problem teacher and student manuals to enhance learning and assessment. 
• Using basic facts programmes in class and for reinforcement as home learning.

We believe that understanding Maths goes far beyond just getting the right answer; it's about developing strong critical thinking, excellent problem-solving skills, and a genuine appreciation for how Maths shapes our world.
